Roger WebbRoger Webb began his career with Wendy’s when Dave Thomas hired him as a part-time crew member when he opened his third restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. He continued to work there through college and after graduating from Ohio State University he became a full-time employee. He then began to grow his career with Wendy’s International, eventually becoming Vice President of Franchising. Dave Thomas recognized some of Webb’s early contributions to Wendy’s in his book Dave’s Way.

In the early 1980’s Webb left Wendy’s International to manage his family’s business and in 1985 became the sole owner of the Wendco Corporation. At that time Wendco owned eight Wendy’s restaurants in the Pensacola, Florida area. Over the next fifteen years he grew his business over 500%, opening nineteen new restaurants and purchasing fourteen more in the Mobile and Dothan, Alabama areas. Currently, Webb owns the Wendco Group which is a total of 38 restaurants and employs over 1,100 people in Northwest Florida and South Alabama. Webb is the current president of the Wendy’s National Advertising Program. He also currently sits on the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation Board, Sacred Heart Health System Finance/Audit Committee and the Pensacola Opera Board.

Webb is a recipient of the Child Advocate of the Year Award from the Children’s Home Society of Florida and has initiated a ‘Golden Apple Academy’ with the Foundation for Excellence to benefit school teachers in Escambia County, Florida.

Over the last two years, 300 community/charitable organizations have benefited from Webb’s generosity and belief in giving back to the communities in which he does business.
