The corporate experience of Jerry Maygarden includes leadership roles in education, health care and government. He served as vice president for university relations at the University of West Florida and senior vice president for corporate resources at Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Florida. He currently serves as president of the Baptist Health Care Foundation.

Jerry began his political career in local government as city councilman and mayor of Pensacola.  In 1994 Jerry was elected to the Florida House of Representatives where he served eight years in the state legislature, including two terms as majority leader.  Currently, Jerry is the president of the J.L. Maygarden Company that assists organizations in establishing beneficial relationships with stakeholders.
